The highly anticipated Dota update will be coming soon.

Valve has announced that the Outlanders update will be released once the Chengdu Major, scheduled on November 16-24, concludes. The update, includes two brand-new heroes, Snapfire and Void Spirit.

However, you won’t find the reveal on an official blog. Instead, it was one of Valve’s developers, Cameron_dev, who replied to a Reddit user named Kraivo, who had asked when to expect the Outlanders update, stating that it would be “similar to previous years”, and would be released after the first Major ends.

The developer also added that Valve avoided giving out specific dates because “things can shift around and we wouldn’t want the expectation to be a specific day if a little bit more time is needed”,

Dota 2’s player base numbers are currently on the decline, but that’s no surprise since, after every The International tournament, the community takes a break from playing. The Outlanders update is almost certain to bring players back, who will be eager to test out all the new heroes, as well as the balance changes made to Dota 2.
