Cloud9 has made some major changes to its Dota 2 roster, welcoming back former players, Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao and Marcus “Ace” Hoelgaard, to the active roster.

The team finalized their roster with the addition of Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu.

Cloud9’s new roster update means that both Cheng Jia “vtFaded” Hao and Andrei “skem” Ong have been benched, while Francis “FLee” Lee has been released by the team.

Cloud9’s new 2019-2020 DPC roster:

  • (1) Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao
  • (2) Marcus “Ace” Hoelgaard
  • (3) Jingjun” Sneyking” Wu
  • (4) Ramsus “MISERY” Filipsen
  • (5) Johan “pieliedie” Astrom

EternaLEnVy and Sneyking abruptly left Fighting PandaS right before the team was set to compete in the StarLadder Kyiv Minor.

EternaLEnVy had previously played for Cloud9 back in 2014-2015 and again in 2017 when the organization picked up Team NP.

Meanwhile, Ace is another ex-Cloud9 player who played for the team when the organization signed the Danish Bears squad.

Cloud9 had just re-entered the Dota 2 scene early this year after a two-year hiatus. Sadly, the team failed to qualify for the ESL One Los Angeles Major through the open qualifier in the Southeast Asian region.

With just two Dota Pro Circuit events left in the 2019-2020 season, Cloud9 will have to buckle down and secure some DPC points quickly if they plan on competing at The International 2020.
