Artour “Arteezy” Babaev landed a huge four-man Chronosphere to cap off Evil Geniuses’ (EG) dominant 2-0 victory over Alliance. Arteezy’s impact play helped his team advance to the Lower Bracket Finals of DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major.

EG opened the series strong with a 42-minute victory in game one, then put Arteezy on Faceless Void in game two to lock down Alliance with Chronosphere and allow Abed Azel “Abed” Yusop’s Templar Assassin and Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev’s offlane Enchantress to unleash hell from long range.

Both teams were on relatively even ground early on, but EG started pulling away once Abed was able to get Desolator to head his team’s midgame power spike.

EG controlled much of the map and shut down their opponents in their base. Alliance tried to break the stranglehold by engaging EG just outside their base, but that ended in disaster as they failed to get any kills after using their big ultimates and even lost two of their heroes.

With Alliance reeling, EG marched up their high ground and started to siege their base. Alliance scrambled to organize a defense and tried to initiate on Arteezy, but he survived their assault and caught four of their heroes in his Chronosphere. That gave EG the opening to team wipe their opponents and close the series out in 30 minutes.

With their win, EG advance to the Lower Bracket Finals where a rematch against Vici Gaming awaits them, along with the chance to face Team Secret in the Grand Finals.

Meanwhile, Alliance bowed out at 4th place with US$80,000 and 1,350 Dota Pro Circuit points in consolation.
