Evil Geniuses has announced their full lineup for the upcoming 2019-2020 DPC season.

The team has signed Abed “Abed” Yusop previously from Fnatic, and Roman “Ramzes666” Kushnarev previously from Virtus.Pro to replace departing players, Gustav “S4” Magnusson and Sumail “Sumail” Hassan.

The new roster will be as follows:

  • (1) Artour “Arteezy” Babaev
  • (2) Abed “Abed’ Yusop
  • (3) Roman “Ramzes666” Kushnarev
  • (4) Andreas “Crit” Nielsen
  • (5) Tal “Fly” Aizik
  • Coach – Sam “Bulba” Solale
  • Manager – Wilson “Fronz” Teng

EG thanked both S4 and Sumail individually, and also put together a highlight package of Sumail’s best plays.

“Both have earned an incredible amount of respect and appreciation here at EG for their results and the effort they’ve put into the team; we’re confident that they will find themselves surrounded by capable teammates,” said EG.

Moving forward, Abed will be playing the position 2 role (mid-lane). EG praised Abed’s skill during his time with Fnatic, Digital Chaos, and Execration and keenly pointed out that Abed brings in a much different hero pool to the middle lane than most people are used to, which means we might see EG play more Meepo in future.

Roman “Ramzes666” Kushnarev will now be the team’s position 3 (off-lane) player. Ramzes previously played the same role early in his Dota 2 career.

EG will be participating in the qualifiers for the first DPC Major of the season happening on October 5, as well as the Dota 2 World Pro Invitational Singapore in December.
