Mousesports (mouz) and Natus Vincere (Na’Vi) continued their dominance in the group stage to become the two teams that will be facing off in the grand finals of ICE Challenge 2020.

After topping their respective groups, mouz and Na’Vi were directly seeded into the semifinals to face the two other teams that advanced from the quarterfinals.

In the quarterfinals, MAD Lions upset OG, taking Nuke and Train with 16-12 scores apiece to go up against mouz. GODSENT then defeated Virtus.pro (VP) in Dust II and Vertigo to go up against Na’Vi.



MAD opened the semifinals by stunning mouz in Vertigo, with Rasmus “sjuush” Beck notching a game-high 31 kills. However, mouz struck back hard and dominated in Dust II, 16-4, then took Nuke, 16-12, to become the first to advance to the grand finals, with David “frozen” Čerňanský posting a series-high 69 kills.

Na’Vi dominated GODSENT in the other semifinals matchup, easily taking Overpass, 16-7, to open the series. GODSENT put up more of a fight in Train, but Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev notched 31 kills to secure the series sweep and the other grand finals spot for Na’Vi.

Mouz and Na’Vi will face off for the championship at ICE Challenge 2020 and the grand prize of US$125,000.

Meanwhile, OG and VP exit at 5th-6th place with US$10,000. MAD and GODSENT bow out with a respectable 3rd-4th place finish and US$25,000 in consolation apiece.
