While most of us are locked up at home trying out best to avoid the COVID-19 coronavirus epidemic, many men and women are fighting the virus and its effects head-on in the medical field.

One of these brave front-liners is Dr. Gokul “dnm” Sagar, a retired CS:GO pro from India.

Dnm played at the highest competitive level of CS:GO in India with Team Invictus, and even represented his country at a number of international tournaments. Dnm eventually hung up his guns in 2017 to pursue a medical career.

Sagar now works as a full-time emergency doctor in the United Kingdom and is adamant about teaching people and gamers about safety measures to take during the epidemic.

“This is serious stuff. I have been working with critically ill patients for a long time now, but with COVID-19, it’s just a blind battle and there is only so much you can do,” said Sagar in an AFK Gaming interview.

Sagar heavily urges people to practice social distancing and self-isolation to help prevent spreading the virus. For his fellow gamers, he encourages them to stay away from LAN cafes and just play from home.

Despite retiring from the CS:GO pro scene, Sagar is still a big fan of the game and is “super excited to see Na’Vi back with the big boys.” Although he’s currently busy with his medical duties, Sagar hopes that he’ll be able to buy a gaming rig in the future for a few rounds with his CS:GO buddies.
