Players who prefer fast-paced and close-quarter combat will find this attachment particularly enjoyable.
This allows you to wield a secondary weapon, typically handguns, in each hand, effectively doubling your firepower, allowing you to mow down enemies in your way.
However, wielding a gun in each hand comes with drawbacks, including reduced weapon accuracy, and, most critically, the inability to aim down sights (ADS).
Consequently, you need to confront your targets at close range for effective elimination. Failing to do so will likely result in missed shots and significantly reduced damage per hit.
How to equip Akimbo weapons in Modern Warfare 3
To equip a secondary weapon in each hand, navigate to the Gunsmith for your chosen secondary weapon, and select the Akimbo attachment from the rear grip slot.
After selecting the right attachment, you will enter your next game wielding two secondary weapons of the same type instead of one.
While it’s possible to equip an optic on your weapons while dual wielding, we advise utilizing other attachment slots to compensate for the loss of ADS.
